We keep adding amazing new features to our iPhone and Android apps. This week we profile the person responsible for adding more of what our customers want:
What’s your name?
What’s your job title? and what does that really mean you do here?
Mobile Product Manager: My day to day involves working with developers and designers to create new features for our iOS and Android apps.
How long have you worked at BV?
I started here at BV in March of 2016, so about a year.
What did you do before BV? How did you end up at BV?
Before BV I worked in sales. I realized I did not want to be in that field for the rest of my life, so I quit. I traveled for a month around Europe and upon my return, I focused on breaking into my dream career: Product Management. During that time I worked on some personal side projects, went through a Product School, and did a lot of networking.
What’s your day-to-day like?
Most of my day-to-day involves working with developers and designers to develop new features for our mobile apps. I also spend a lot of time analyzing data to identify new trends from our users, and figuring out how we can optimize the experience for them.
What’s your favorite thing about the BV office? Or culture?
My favorite thing about BV is that the company really cares about developing their employees to be the best in the industry. This includes buying books for specific skills you are interested in developing, or allowing you to test things that seem uncommon to see what we can learn..
Tell us something surprising about you that not many people know:
I was born in Italy and lived there for 8 years until my family moved to the U.S.
What are your biggest outside interests and hobbies?
My biggest interest is technology, and all of my hobbies are based on it. I love trying out the latest products including AR/VR, AI, Smart Home tech, etc.
What is a book, movie, or song that inspires you?
Hmm… I don’t have a book, movie or song that inspires me, but a person that has most inspired me throughout my life has been Steve Jobs. In his short life he was able to orchestrate amazing products that people all over the world use. He not only founded Apple, but was able to revive it and make it the biggest company in the world when it was close to failing. If I have to pick a movie, book or song then I would say his biography “Steve Jobs” or the movie “Jobs”.
What’s your favorite BV lunch that we have on free lunch Wednesdays?
Build you own tacos! There is a variety of toppings to make your perfect taco.
What is your twitter handle? Instagram? (or whatever profiles or blogs you want)
