The world of data privacy and marketing compliance is changing rapidly! We are seeking a talented individual who can be a leader and champion for our compliance and risk initiatives which are critical to keeping our business healthy. The Compliance Product Manager works with multiple product lines and cross-functional teams to drive product, user, and marketing compliance supporting company-wide efforts. You will lead a product development team and work closely with executives, Legal, DevOps, SecOps, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Support to fulfill some of the highest priority and impactful initiatives our business faces today. This is a unique opportunity to play a strategic role, with high visibility, in an area of immense growth.

 

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Oversee and coordinate the various phases of the product lifecycle for a suite of products, with increased responsibility for independent planning and management.
  • Work on projects that are very complex in scope, and be involved throughout the planning, development, launch, and maintenance of various projects. 
  • Bring visibility to the milestones, dependencies, and status that comprise the business, and promote continuous improvement through the evaluation and rollout of the use of best practices common among successful product, user and marketing compliance.
  • Own the implementation and maintenance of the company’s compliance process.
  • Ensure that policies, procedures, and programs comply with applicable regulatory requirements and mitigate the risk of non-compliance.
  • Provide direct compliance advisory support to various business functions to promote compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices. Make effective recommendations to mitigate compliance risk.
  • Monitor and analyze developing trends and changes in applicable laws and regulations, and advise management of the business and operational impact. 
  • Facilitate and/or lead the implementation of compliance changes throughout all business verticals, when needed, by working closely with each vertical owner.
  • Effectively communicate in person and in writing complex compliance concepts. Participate in creating compliance updates for posting on company intranet or distribution via other channels.

 

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, advertising, business management or a related field required. 
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a product role.
  • Working knowledge of; experience in data privacy laws.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex laws and regulations.
  • Experience with the interpretation of laws, rulings and regulations impacting consumer protections, including (but not limited to) FTCA, FCRA, GLBA, CAN-SPAM Act.
  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of how to ensure an effective compliance plan is distributed throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent critical thinking and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to influence others' actions and decisions without express authority.
